Hi, I’m Amelie - the nail artist and educator behind Totally Polished


I started my nail journey back in early 2019, when I was on maternity leave in Alberta. What began as a passion project quickly grew into something so much bigger. Over the years, I’ve done it all — part-time, mobile services, working from home — and every step taught me something new about what it means to build a career in this industry.

In 2023, my family and I moved to Kelowna to enjoy the lifestyle we’d been dreaming of. Starting over wasn’t easy — I opened my books with zero clients — but within just three months, I had rebuilt a fully booked schedule. Today, I rent a nail table inside a studio and I honestly love coming to “work” every day (though it rarely feels like work!).

What I love most about this career is the flexibility it gives me to prioritize my family, my business, and myself — without having to choose one over the other. And now, through Totally Polished, I get to share what I’ve learned so you can step into this industry feeling confident, supported, and excited for what’s ahead.

Because here’s the truth: nails aren’t just about polish — they’re about creating a life and career you love. And I can’t wait to help you get started. 💅✨
